Agia Efimia Village
Very close to the north of Sami, there is a pretty town of Agia Efimia nestled in a cozy cove. A quite village, with friendly people.
Nearby, along the waterfront, there are taverns to suit every taste.
Swirls of numerous yacht masts stretch along the coastmaking twang under a gust of wind: travelers by yacht love the cove, along which the town is situated.
Myrtos Beach
During your stay in Kefalonia it will be nice to dedicate an entire day for Myrtos beach. Located in the region of Pylaros, in the north-west of Kefalonia island.
Multi awarded, it stands at the top of the list of the best Greek beaches and ranks among the best worldwide.
Fiscardo Village
Fiscardo is the picturesque and beautiful Greek harbor village on the Northern tip of Kefalonia, largest of the seven Ionian islands. Of the approximate 365 villages on this large and diverse island, Fiscardo is unique in that it is the only village on Kefalonia that has so many of the original Venetian buildings intact and still in use.
The Monastery of Agios Gerasimos
Saint Gerasimos, born in 1503 in Trikala Thessaly, is the protector saint of Kefalonia. Saint Gerasimos was ordained a monk at Mount Athos, then went to Jerusalem where he lived for 12 years, passed to Crete and Zakynthos to finally arrives in Kefalonia where he died on August 15th, 1579. He was declared a saint in 1622.
Lighthouse St.Theodoroi
The lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi based in Argostoli. Specifically lies on a man-made peninsula close to Argostoli village, the capital of the island. When British military had the dominance built important works. In 1863, after the integration of the island to the Greek State, this lighthouse was included in the lighthouse network of Greece.The earthquake of 1953 was pretty devastating for Kefalonia and the other Ionian islands and also destroyed the lighthouse.
